For Sale Cars, to determine the correct Outage Table, we prefer the original mark and car number, an appropriation number, year built, or Certificate of Construction, to assist us.

All tank cars constructed by UTLX for sale are issued an outage table number at the time they are built. Those gauge tables are displayed by table number.

Gauging devices are used to measure (or Gauge) the amount of product in Tank Cars. The depth of product (inches) measured down from the full level of the car is converted into fluid volume (gallons) through a Gauge (or Outage) Table. Select Gauge Tables below to view Gauge Tables for any UTLX Tank Car.

Attention users: When entering gauge table numbers add suffix "00" to the base table number. (Multicompartment car users contact your sales representative for the proper suffix number.)

Tables are available from 2:00am to 10:00pm (ET) Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday.
