IN tank car manufacturing plant has approved a new three-year
contract

Chicago, IL - The trade union representing the hourly
workforce at Union Tank Car Company's East Chicago, IN tank
car manufacturing plant has approved a new three-year
contract. Local 524 of The International Brotherhood of
Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and
Helpers voted Sunday to ratify terms that will govern labor
relations at Plant No. 1 through December 9, 2005.
Union Tank Car Company, a member of The Marmon Group of
companies, is a major designer, manufacturer and full-service
lessor of specialized railcars with an extensive network of
repair and coating shops throughout North America.
