This section is intended for use by the "non-expert" and is not meant to be a definitive source for technical or business information. The intent is to provide the reader with a working knowledge of areas outside of their field of expertise. In addition, this information should be useful in helping to orient newcomers to our company.

Only terms thought to be relevant to tank cars, covered hopper cars, other Union Tank Car fleet cars, the railcar leasing business, and internal fleet management functions are included.
